Trench Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Trench collects, how we use and share it, what is made public, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the Trench website, apps, public APIs and related services (the "Service").
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by Tap Get To Install, a Delaware corporation, doing business as Trench ("Trench", "we", "us"). For the purposes of data protection laws such as the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Trench is the controller of your personal information. You can contact us at legal@trench.io.
2. Information we collect

We do not receive or store your full card number. Payment card details are collected and processed directly by our payment processors.
We do not have access to your wallet's private keys, and we do not collect them.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, such as health data or government ID numbers. If we ever need to verify identity, for example to investigate fraud, we will tell you what we need and why at the time.

If we want to use your information for marketing emails or for a purpose not listed here, we will ask for your consent where the law requires it. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
4. What is public
- Public Credits results. Your username, game results and rankings from Trench Public Credits are published on public leaderboards and through our public APIs. Anyone, including third-party businesses, can view, query and copy this information. We cannot control what others do with it once it is public.
- Private Credits results. Your game results from Trench Private Credits are not published on leaderboards or through our public APIs.
We do not publish your email address or your wallet address on leaderboards or through our public APIs.
5. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers who work for us under contract and only on our instructions, including hosting, databases, analytics, email delivery, customer support and fraud prevention providers.
- Payment processors, to process purchases, refunds and chargebacks, and to prevent fraud. They act under their own privacy policies for some of these activities.
- Privy, our wallet and login provider, to create and connect your wallet and authenticate you. Privy's privacy policy applies to the information Privy handles.
- Third-party businesses. They can see public information described in Section 4, like anyone else. When you select a Third-Party Offer and go to the business's website, any information you give them is governed by their privacy policy. We do not otherwise give them your personal information.
- Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena or court order, or when needed to protect the rights, safety or property of users, Trench or others, including to investigate fraud.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy.
- With your consent, or at your direction.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your settings, secure the Service, prevent fraud and understand how the Service is used. We do not use cookies for cross-site targeted advertising.
Where the law requires consent for non-essential cookies, such as in the EU and UK, we will ask for it first. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the Service may not work without essential cookies.
7. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy:
- Account and game information: while your account is open, and up to 2 years after it is closed, to handle questions, disputes and fraud prevention.
- Purchase and transaction records: as long as tax, accounting and payment network rules require, usually up to 7 years.
- Device and usage logs: usually up to 13 months.
- Public Credits results already published: may remain in public leaderboard history and in copies held by others who accessed them.
When we no longer need information, we delete or anonymize it.
8. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls and monitoring. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your login details and any wallet recovery methods safe.
9. International transfers
Trench is based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Those countries may have different data protection laws from yours. When we transfer personal information from the EU, UK or Switzerland, we use safeguards recognized by law, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK addendum to them.
10. Age requirement
The Service is only for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has given us personal information, contact legal@trench.io and we will delete it and close the account.
11. Your rights and choices
You can update your account details in the Service, unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any such email, and ask us to close your account at any time.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the rights below. To use them, email legal@trench.io. We will verify your request, usually by confirming it from your account email, and respond within the time the law requires. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.
EU, UK and Switzerland. You have the right to access your personal information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it (including where we rely on legitimate interests), and receive a copy in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. For EU and UK users, we will appoint a representative in the EU and UK where required and list their details here.
United States. If you live in California or another US state with a consumer privacy law, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to access, correct and delete it; and to opt out of the sale of personal information, the sharing of it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and certain profiling. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use it for profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out request where the law requires. You may use an authorized agent, and if we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision.
Other countries. If you live elsewhere, you have the rights your local law gives you, and you can use them by contacting us.
Some information cannot be deleted, for example Public Credits results that others have already copied and records we must keep by law.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, give you notice through the Service or by email.
